Itinerary

Your safari begins in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After a short safari briefing with your professional driver guide, you will depart towards the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania, including local villages, farms and the lush highlands surrounding Ngorongoro. Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater, you will descend approximately 600 metres into the crater for an exciting game drive. The crater is one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife destinations and is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, you may have the opportunity to see: Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes,Zebras,Wildebeests,Hippos,Gazelles,Hyenas ,Flamingos and other bird species With some luck, the endangered black rhinoceros You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your game drive. Later in the afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu, where you will check in at Rim View Inn. Dinner and overnight at Rim View Inn, Karatu.

After breakfast, you will depart Karatu and continue towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering beautiful views of the highlands and surrounding landscapes. As you approach Serengeti, the landscape gradually changes from the highlands into the vast open plains for which the park is famous. After entering Serengeti National Park, your safari officially begins with a game drive en route to your camp. The Serengeti is renowned for its enormous wildlife population and is one of the best places in Africa to observe predators and large herds in their natural environment. Depending on the season and location of wildlife, you may encounter: Cheetahs, Elephants, Antelopes and gazelles Numerous bird species You will continue with wildlife viewing as you make your way towards camp. Upon arrival, check in and relax after the day’s journey. Dinner and overnight stay at Kontik Serengeti Camp.

The day will be dedicated entirely to exploring the magnificent Serengeti National Park. After an early breakfast, you will depart with your packed lunch for a full day game drive. An early start gives you the opportunity to experience the Serengeti when wildlife is particularly active. Your experienced safari guide will determine the best areas to explore depending on recent wildlife sightings, seasonal conditions and your interests. The day will be spent exploring different areas of the park in search of wildlife. The Serengeti is particularly famous for its predator prey interactions and, depending on the season, you may witness large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra. Your guide will also help you discover some of the smaller and less obvious wildlife species, as well as the Serengeti’s incredible birdlife. You will stop at a suitable location for your picnic lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the afternoon progresses, you will continue exploring the plains before returning to camp. Dinner and overnight stay at Kontik Serengeti Camp.

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before departing for your final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. This final game drive provides one more opportunity to spot wildlife and enjoy the beautiful Serengeti landscape before beginning your journey out of the park. After the game drive, you will begin your transfer towards Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Your driver guide will ensure you reach the airport in time for your scheduled flight. End of safari at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
